Carving in the Round

Prerequisites: 140 - Carving Intro
   or equivalent experience.

Materials: Provided

Objectives:

1. To become familiar with carving in the round techniques
2. Classes will take place at a weekly Carvers meeting (6pm-8pm Tuesdays).
3. Carvers will furnish loaner tools or you can pre-purchase your own (not included in fee).

Description:

Instructions will include safety procedures, care of knives and sharpening. There will be a discussion on types of wood best used for carving in the round.

We will perform demonstration cuts and have discussions about different cutting styles. Final work will be on your own small geometric project.
