1. Learn basics of wood carving and an understanding of the various forms of carving
3. This class will serve as the prerequisite for each of three advanced carving classes.

Description:

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Detailed discussion and sample show and tell of all aspects of carving.

- Introduction to various carving styles: relief carving, carving in the round & chip carving

-Wood carving tools & how to use them

-Proper sharpening of tools by hand & power

-Best woods for carving

-Work piece holding & safety
